Pin Oak Lane
Farm leads all stud farms in the Mid-Atlantic and ranks in the
top 15 nationally |

According to an analysis by the Thoroughbred
Times, Pin Oak Lane Farm ranks in the top fifteen of all stud
farms in North America and is the leading stud farm in the
Mid-Atlantic region. Determinations were made by considering
the stallions’ total earnings, as well as numbers of starters,
stakes winners, winners and wins. |

Among stallions standing in the Mid-Atlantic in 2008, six of the
ten leading sires stand in Pennsylvania |

As reported in the January 2009 Mid-Atlantic
Thoroughbred and bloodhorse.com statistics last updated December
31, 2008, six of the Mid-Atlantic’s top ten leading sires that
stood in the region during 2008, will stand in Pennsylvania in
2009. Four the top ten sires stand at Pin Oak Lane Farm. We
are proud to offer Albert the Great, Buddha, Lite the Fuse and
Siphon (BRZ). The Pennsylvania stallion colony continues to
grow to be the best in the Mid-Atlantic region. |

Stud fee reduction policy for multiple mares has changed for the
2009 season |
|
Effective for the 2009 breeding season, Pin Oak
Lane Farm has removed the stipulation that mares must be bred to
the same stallion to qualify for the multiple mare stud fee
reduction. Please refer to the stallion rosters posted under
“Our Horses” for full details or call the office and we will be
happy to mail a complete packet of information to you. |

Rachel Westerlund, VMD, will assist with neo-natal care at Pin
Oak Lane |
|
Beginning in 2009, Rachel Westerlund, VMD, will be assisting
with neo-natal care at Pin Oak Lane Farm. Dr. Westerlund
graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1987 and
completed a large animal internship at New Bolton Center in
1988. She joined Maryland Equine Center in Cockeysville,
Maryland, in 1988 and purchased the practice in 1995. Since
then, Dr. Westerlund has continued to expand Maryland Equine
Center’s services and client base, specializing in high quality
neo-natal medicine and reproduction. |

Dr. William Solomon, owner and manager of Pin Oak Lane Farm,
ranks third on the Pennsylvania Breeders Awards list |
Owner and manager of Pin Oak Lane Farm, Dr.
William Solomon, was the third leading recipient of stallion and
breeder awards in 2008 with $212,875. He ranks behind Sylmar
Farm with $259,464 and Judith Barrett with $229,161, who have
also been traditional leaders in the awards program.

for directions may help to make your trip a little easier.
With the introduction of internet mapping sites, we have had
many clients experience difficulties trying to find us.
When you call the office to schedule your visit, please ask
